OnePlus typically announces its “T” smartphones towards the end of the year, though the month varies than previous models reveal. The OnePlus 7T models were revealed in September 2019, while the OnePlus 6T was announced in November 2018.
It’s therefore likely we will see the OnePlus 8T before December 2020, but as for an exact date, we will have to wait and see for now.
If we talk about it’s price, the OnePlus 8 starts at £599 in the UK, $699 in the US, Rs51500 in india and around Rs117000 in pakistan, while the 8 Pro starts at £799 in the UK, $899 in the US, Rs66000 in india and around Rs150000 in pakistan. We’d expect the OnePlus 8T and OnePlus 8T Pro to come in around the same ballpark, though reports do claim there will be no Pro variant this time round.
8T: 6.55-inch, Full HD+, AMOLED, 120Hz
8T Pro: Quad HD+, AMOLED, 120Hz
Rumours have suggested the OnePlus 8T will feature a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
Hardware and specs:
Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus
8GB RAM at least
65W fast charging reported
OnePlus and Qualcomm have a long standing relationship so it’s likely the OnePlus 8T will feature the latest Qualcomm processor under its hood, which would be the Snapdragon 865 Plus 7nm. It will be 5G as the 8, 8 Pro and Nord are all 5G so OnePlus has already committed here.
8T: Quad rear (main, ultra-wide, macro, depth)Rumours have suggested the OnePlus 8T will feature a quad rear camera, but it’s claimed there won’t be a telephoto lens on board, like the OnePlus 8 Pro. It will have 48-megapixel main camera, 16-megapixel ultra-wide camera, 5-megapixel macro camera and a 2-megapixel depth camera, as reported.
